Experience the wonder of the solar eclipse at the Knibbe Ranch in Spring Branch Texas, just 40 miles north of Trinity University. Trinity is thrilled to offer this exclusive opportunity to students, faculty, and staff.

This once-in-a-lifetime event includes transportation, food, interactions with longhorn and cattle, spectacular views of wildlife, and several hours to explore the ranch and watch the eclipse in the early afternoon. Come and witness the full eclipse in all its glory. Tickets are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Traffic in the Texas Hill Country will all be headed toward the path of totality, so we expect a longer-than-usual ride to Spring Branch. Pack some snacks and get ready to enjoy this unique and unforgettable experience.

Frequently asked questions

Could you tell us a little more about transportation to the Eclipse event?

We will travel to Knibbe Ranch in Charter buses that depart at 6 a.m. from the Trinity Bell Center. We have 11 buses that seat different capacities traveling from Trinity University to Knibbe Ranch.

Do I need to bring my sunglasses?

No, we will provide viewing Eclipse glasses and safety instructions before the totality begins.

Is this event open to our family members?

Yes, students, faculty, and staff are welcome and encouraged to purchase additional tickets for this event for their family members.

Is lunch provided?

Yes, Trinity University will provide each guest with a catered box lunch.

What should I wear?

This is a working ranch, so wear comfortable, loose clothes and shoes. You will be at home if you want to wear Western gear.

Do you know when the bus will return to campus? I do understand there will be a lot of traffic.

Due to traffic in the area, we will depart from Knibbe Ranch at 2:00 p.m. and plan to return to campus at 5:00 p.m.

Interactions with longhorn and cattle, ranch tours, and spectacular views of wildlife.
